Transmission Kitting Line
An industrial equipment transmission manufacturer in Indiana, built a special purpose line to pre-kit parts for later use. The line consists of seven Smart Frames with four Smart Product Controllers. The Controllers interface with a PLC via serial communication for pick-sequence selection. A special purpose reader at each station is used to read a coded plastic card indicating to the PLC the kit to be produced.
