Engine Plant
A special version of the Smart Product Controller was developed for an automotive engine plant in Ohio to control up to eight sets of SmartGate XLs. The repackaging was necessary to meet the customer’s requirements and to support a specific interface for connection to existing Allen-Bradley PLCs used on the assembly line. Special interface modes were developed for PLC I/O to the SmartGate XL configuration and also for PLC I/O to the bar code verification configuration.
