Bin sizes and locations can be changed quickly
and easily to accommodate virtually any pick
sequence required. The Smart Frame Controller
can stand alone or interface with PC's, PLC's
and mainframe computers. Bill of materials
data can be easily retrieved for order or
parts picking. The Smart Frame can be linked
together to form a complete build-to-order
assembly line. |

The Smart Gate's infrared sensing devices
are used primarily for large parts (castings,
cartons, boxes or literature) or single bin
applications. The Smart Gate can be easily
reconfigured to serve several different applications
as needed. The aluminum extrusion has the
electronics and power supply integrated. Smart
Gates can interface with Smart Frames or can
operate alone. Control can be provided via
Smart Product Controllers, PC's or PLC's for
detection of parts picking. |

The SMART BIN is a self-contained unit consisting
of six bins arranged in two rows. Each bin
is 5" high, 6.75" wide and 10" deep. Sensors
on the bin openings detect breaks in infrared
beams. Lights above each bin direct the operator
to the correct part choice. Selecting the
wrong bin (part) will cause an alarm to sound.
The Smart Bin is easily programmed by repeating
the correct pick sequence while in the LEARN
mode. Switching to the RUN mode then activates
the correct pick sequence. |
